Private transfers are available in both directions. You can book a one-way journey from Kanchanaburi to your Bangkok hotel, Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang Airport (DMK), even if you did not book the outward journey with us. Send your pickup address, travel date, passenger count and luggage details. For an airport departure, include your flight number and departure time. We plan pickup around the road journey, possible traffic and your airline’s check-in requirements. Return journeys and any requested stops are quoted and confirmed separately.

Bangkok collection
Tell us your hotel or address and preferred departure time. For a day trip, also include your expected return location and any latest return time.
Airport arrival
Pickup can be requested from BKK or DMK. Provide your flight number and arrival date. We track arriving flights; the airport meeting arrangement and waiting terms are confirmed for your booking.
Town hotel or riverside resort
Send the hotel’s map link, not only the words River Kwai. Properties described as Kanchanaburi can be spread well beyond town. If your resort requires a boat connection, include its mainland meeting point and the hotel’s instructions.
Journey time and planning
Use approximately 2.5–3.5 hours from central Bangkok to town as an initial planning range. That estimate does not cover every resort in Kanchanaburi province. Traffic, weather, requested stops and the final address affect the journey. Airport arrivals need additional time for formalities before the road transfer starts.
Choose the day’s priorities before choosing the pickup time
A town-based history visit and a waterfall day need different schedules. Let us know which experience matters most, how much walking suits your group and whether you are returning to Bangkok that evening. We can then review a practical driving plan.
Direct transfer or private day trip?
For a direct transfer, we plan collection and drop-off around your accommodation. For a day trip, send a short list of priorities. The Bridge over the River Kwai and Kanchanaburi War Cemetery are important historical sites; a museum visit can provide more context. Erawan Waterfall is a separate excursion beyond town and needs additional driving and time on foot. A railway ride also needs its own schedule. Each requested visit must be checked against the available day. Driver service does not automatically include a licensed guide, attraction tickets, train tickets, meals or a boat connection.
Two sample Kanchanaburi day-trip plans
Town and wartime history
Bangkok pickup → Kanchanaburi War Cemetery and a museum visit → lunch → Bridge over the River Kwai → Bangkok return. This keeps the focus on the town’s historical sites rather than adding a distant waterfall.
Erawan-focused day
Bangkok pickup → Erawan Waterfall with time for walking and a meal break → Bangkok return. Choose the walking distance to suit your group; visiting every waterfall tier is not a condition of the trip.
These are sample routes to discuss, not fixed packages. A train ride, additional historical stops or a visit to Erawan changes the schedule. Tickets, meals and a licensed guide are separate unless expressly included. We agree the day’s duration and stops before booking.
Safari Park and outings from your Kanchanaburi hotel
We can arrange a car and driver from your hotel to Safari Park Kanchanaburi in Bo Phloi, with the return and any other stops agreed before booking. Send your confirmed park programme and visit time so we can plan pickup around it. Park admission and special activities are separate unless included in your quotation.
If you are staying overnight, you can request an Erawan day and a separate safari day instead of fitting both around the journey from Bangkok. For a riverside resort, include its exact map link and any boat meeting point.

Choose a vehicle for your group and luggage
For a day trip, mention how many people need child seats and whether you will carry overnight luggage. Tell us about walking or access requirements before an itinerary is agreed; travelling by private vehicle does not make every attraction step-free.
Sedan
An option for solo travellers, couples or a small party when the passenger and luggage requirements fit the vehicle offered.
SUV
An option to consider for families or larger bags. Available luggage space depends on the seating arrangement, so send the full passenger and bag count.
Minivan
An option for families and groups travelling together. Confirm the number and size of suitcases alongside the passenger count.
Luxury minivan
Available on request. Ask about the seating layout and luggage allowance of the vehicle offered for your date.
Child seats are available on request. Send each child’s age, height and weight so the arrangement, availability and any charge can be confirmed before booking.
Your quotation and what is included
Request a quote using your exact addresses and travel details. The agreed road transfer includes:
- A private vehicle and driver for your booking
- Fuel, road tolls and parking
- Pickup and drop-off at the locations confirmed in your quotation
- Flight tracking for an airport arrival
Day-trip duration, waiting, attraction stops and return travel must be included explicitly in the quotation. Entry fees, train tickets, guides, meals and resort boat transfers are separate unless your quotation specifically includes them.

Booking and cancellation
For standard bookings, cancellation fees depend on the notice received before your scheduled pickup:
- At least 48 hours: free cancellation.
- 24 to less than 48 hours: 50% of the agreed booking fee.
- Less than 24 hours: 60% of the agreed booking fee.
- No-show: 100% of the agreed booking fee.
All deadlines use Bangkok time. Send cancellation requests by email, WhatsApp or LINE. Separate terms for multi-day journeys or specially reserved vehicles will be stated in your quotation and agreed before booking confirmation. Your booking confirmation sets out the total price, payment instructions and agreed journey details.
How to book
- Send your details. Include your travel date, pickup point and time, destination, passengers and luggage. Add flight details, child-seat needs and any requested stops or connections.
- Review the quotation. We check availability and confirm the vehicle, journey details and total price. Ask us to clarify inclusions, waiting, payment and cancellation terms before accepting.
- Confirm your booking. An enquiry alone does not reserve a vehicle. Review and accept the final details, then follow the booking instructions provided by SPNJ.
Frequently asked questions
Can we book a transfer without sightseeing?
Yes. Request a direct transfer and send your pickup point and hotel address. The journey can be quoted separately from any day-trip itinerary.
Can we visit the River Kwai bridge and Erawan Waterfall in one day?
Send your preferred stops for review. Combining town sights with Erawan adds driving and walking time. The itinerary depends on your departure point, available hours and the pace that suits your group.
Does the day trip include a tour guide or tickets?
Not automatically. Ask for the quotation to specify any guide, attraction entry, train journey or meal. A private driver booking and a guided tour are different arrangements.
Does the town journey time apply to our riverside resort?
Not necessarily. Send the exact resort address and any boat-transfer instructions. Accommodation outside town may require a longer drive and a separate connection.
Can we start at BKK or DMK airport?
Airport collection can be requested subject to availability. Give your flight number and arrival date. A full sightseeing day after a flight needs to be planned around the actual arrival and your group’s needs.
Are vehicles suitable for families with children?
Sedans, SUVs, minivans and luxury minivans are available subject to the booking. Send the passenger count, luggage and children’s ages and sizes so the vehicle and requested child seats can be checked.
