Our Family Story

SPNJ Travel started as a family business, shaped by our own experience of traveling between Europe and Asia with children.

We know that family travel involves much more than reaching a destination. Children need to feel safe and comfortable. They need enough space, suitable seating, working air conditioning, and something to keep them interested during a long journey. Parents also need time to manage luggage, flight delays, unfamiliar places, and the heat without worrying about transport.

We have arrived in Thailand after long flights with tired children and heavy bags. We understand how difficult a crowded arrivals hall can feel when everyone is hot, tired, and ready to reach the hotel.

Our relatives faced the same questions whenever they visited: Where do I go? Who can I trust? Will the vehicle have enough room? Is the price fair? Will the children be safe and comfortable?

These experiences led us to start SPNJ Travel. We wanted to provide the kind of transport service that our own family would feel comfortable using. That means clean vehicles, strong air conditioning, child seats when needed, enough room for luggage, clear communication, and drivers who understand the needs of families.

Thailand’s Public Transport

Thailand developed its modern public transport network later than many other major destinations. Bangkok’s first BTS Skytrain lines opened in 1999.

The BTS, MRT, and Airport Rail Link have expanded significantly and help people travel around the city. These systems were designed mainly for daily commuters, so they can be difficult for visitors carrying large bags.

Trains become very crowded during peak hours. Boarding with suitcases can be uncomfortable for travelers and other passengers.

The older public bus network can also be difficult to use. Even our family avoids it because routes can be complicated, buses may be unreliable, and some vehicles do not have air conditioning.

Traveling from a station to a hotel with children, luggage, uneven sidewalks, and high temperatures can be tiring. A private vehicle provides direct transport and avoids crowded platforms, stairs, and additional transfers.

For families and travelers with several bags, private transport in Thailand can provide a calmer and more comfortable start to the journey.

Limits of Ride-Hailing Apps and Street Taxis

Many travelers use ride-hailing apps or street taxis. As local residents, we know these options are not always reliable.

A pre-booked driver may cancel at the last minute. After several hours in Thailand’s heat, an arriving passenger may also find that the vehicle has weak air conditioning.

Unmetered fares and unclear drop-off points can add more difficulty at the beginning of a trip.

When you book private transport in Thailand, the vehicle should be confirmed in advance. You should also know who will collect you, when they will arrive, and what the journey will cost.

In many families and travel groups, one person manages the flights, visas, transport, and itinerary. That responsibility can be tiring.
