For Bangkok airport transfers with children, confirm three things before you travel: the child seats your family needs, enough vehicle space for everyone and their luggage, and clear instructions for meeting your driver.
Whether you land at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang Airport (DMK), sharing these details in advance helps us plan your pickup. This guide explains what to send and what to check before confirming your booking.
Can you request a child seat?
Yes. SPNJ Travel accepts child-seat requests for airport pickups and drop-offs at BKK and DMK. Confirm availability and any charge in your quotation before booking.
For each child, send their age, height and weight, along with any particular seating requirements. If you need more than one seat, include these details for every child. We check the seat arrangement alongside the vehicle and luggage space.
A vehicle booking does not automatically include a child seat. Request it explicitly and check the agreed arrangement in your booking confirmation. See our Bangkok airport transfer service for booking details.

What should the child-seat confirmation tell you?
Ask for the offered seat’s make and model, its permitted height and weight range, its installation method and the proposed seating position. If you need rear-facing travel or a particular type of booster, say so explicitly. A request for “one child seat” does not describe all of those requirements.
The NHTSA guide to choosing and fitting a child seat advises checking both the child-seat instructions and the vehicle manual. Use it as general safety guidance, then check the actual seat and vehicle offered for your booking. It is not a statement of Thai legal requirements.
Bringing your own car seat
Tell us before booking if you plan to bring your own seat. Share its model, installation requirements and the number of seats you will bring so compatibility can be checked with the proposed vehicle.
Follow the seat manufacturer’s instructions for installation and use, and allow time to check the arrangement before setting off. Check your airline’s rules separately if you intend to take the seat on your flight.
Choosing a vehicle for passengers, child seats and bags
For Bangkok airport transfers with children, choose your vehicle around all three together. A family with two children, two child seats, several suitcases and a pushchair may need a different arrangement from four adults travelling with cabin bags. The advertised number of passenger seats alone does not tell you how much luggage will fit.
- Adults: total number travelling.
- Children: number, age, height and weight for each child.
- Suitcases and cabin bags: number and approximate size.
- Pushchairs: how many, how they fold and whether they have a separate carrycot.
- Other equipment: travel cot, wheelchair or other bulky items.
Send photos of your pushchair and luggage
Please send a photo of your pushchair or stroller folded as it will travel, along with your suitcases, cabin bags and any other bulky equipment. Photos help us assess how much luggage space your family will need.
If your pushchair has a separate carrycot or several pieces, include them all. Combined with your passenger numbers and child-seat requirements, these photos help us recommend a suitable vehicle before confirming your booking.
For a comparison of the categories, see our sedan, SUV, minivan and Alphard guide. Passenger capacity is not a promise of space for one large suitcase per person.
An example of a useful luggage enquiry
“Two adults, a toddler and a six-year-old; two child seats requested; three large cases, two cabin bags and a folded pushchair measuring [length × width × height].” This gives us an arrangement to assess. It does not assume the whole load fits an SUV simply because there are four passengers.
Collecting a pushchair after your flight
Check with your airline where your pushchair will be returned after landing. Depending on the airline and airport arrangements, you may need to collect it separately from your suitcases. This can affect when your family is ready to leave the terminal.
Keep nappies, wipes, a change of clothes and anything you need before reaching the hotel in an accessible bag.
Getting from the terminal to your vehicle
Save the meeting instructions and a contact method that works after landing. Tell the team if you are still collecting a pushchair or dealing with delayed baggage. If travelling with another adult, agree who keeps the children and essential bags together while the other handles the luggage enquiry.
Before setting off, check the agreed child seats are present, use the seat and vehicle instructions to check the arrangement, and keep anything needed during the journey accessible. If the supplied seat differs from the confirmation or you cannot establish that it is suitable, contact the team before travelling.

Travelling beyond Bangkok after landing
If you plan to continue to Pattaya, Hua Hin or another destination, send the final hotel address when requesting your quotation. Think about how your children manage longer car journeys after a flight and discuss requested breaks before confirming your route.

Booking your return airport transfer
For return Bangkok airport transfers with children, include the departure airport, flight number, flight date and hotel pickup address in your enquiry. Check whether your flight leaves from BKK or DMK.
Repeat the child-seat and luggage requirements for the return journey, including any changes during your holiday. Ask us to review the pickup time alongside your hotel location and your airline’s check-in requirements.
